FEATURED ARTIST OF THE MONTH- OH, HUSH!

Oh, Hush! is a band that was, is and will always be ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC!!  What does that mean?  Well, the band has never announced who is actually in the band.  Oh, Hush!'s goal from day one was to be judged by the music itself and not by who the members are.  No glitz, no glam, no pictures.  Love 'em or hate 'em, but judge Oh, Hush! only on their music. Sounds like the exact opposite thing everyone else is doing?  Maybe, but it has worked with amazing success.  Oh, Hush! has reinvented the concept of what a "band" is and has attracted tens of thousands of loyal fans along the way. Oh, Hush! released the dance-infused-rock record "The Yellow Album" in fall of 2008 and is currently working on the follow-up album. The band is constantly interacting with fans and has staged many great online events and contest to bring fans closer to the band itself and to each other.  Last year Oh, Hush! launched a puzzle where 100 kids from all over the world had to each figure out how to bring their puzzle pieces together (online) for the common goal of discovering a new song.  The latest song released by Oh, Hush! is the New Moon-inspired "Irresistible." Oh, Hush! was introduced to the Twilight series by a fan who gave the band the first book for Christmas. The band quickly read all 4 books and the result was "Irresistible."

Mandala At Twilight

I began writing songs based on the Twilight Novels while going through a rough period in my life.  The books were an amazing distraction and I found that my music and lyrics kept coming back to the book's characters.  When I think of vampires, I think of hard rock or industrial sounding music.  I put my Mandala spin on these genres, and this is what came out.  I really enjoy performing in front of an audience, especially when they hear me sing One Split Second, my song inspired by the unfinished book Midnight Sun. The fans are like no others!

The Twilight Music Girls

With all the Harry Potter and Twilight "fan bands" around, its easy for one to get lost in the shuffle. But the Twilight Music Girls are something different. While the girls are fans, they are not really a band at all. The group was actually a side project that got a little bigger than expected. Born from a love of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Saga, the Twilight Music Girls consists of five highly accomplished Los Angeles-based singer/songwriters: Kris Angelis, Lauren Harding, Laura Serafine, Lyndzie Taylor, and Mallory Trunnell.

Originally friends from drama school, the girls shared a passion for music, often playing shows together at various clubs in town. The girls were all playing at the same venue one night and discovered they had each been musically inspired by the golden-eyed vampire and his sweetheart. All of their sets included a 'Twi-song' about the star-crossed pair. The ladies realized their passion for Meyer's characters was great inspiration, and they wanted to share their music with Twilighters everywhere. A few weeks and lots of Twilight-gushing later, the Twilight Music Girls was born.

The group is made up of five very different artists with styles ranging from pop to folk to rock, with sprinklings of punk and jazz. Their lyrics are poignant yet subtle, connecting with fans of the book while still utilizing universal themes that any listener can identify with.

The response to the project has been incredible, and the Twilight Music Girls are having fun playing music and making new Twilight-loving friends. The girls look forward to the release of their first collection of songs, The Twilight Music Girls: a Compilation, this September. In the meantime, each of the five songwriters continues to write, perform and promote their own original music independently. If I told a random person on the street that I was absolutely in love with the Twilight series, there's a good chance they'd believe me.
But if I told them I was also in a band that sang about the series, they'd probably die of laughter.
Seriously, there are some things that only Twilight fans would understand. And this is one of them.
I'm Katie. I absolutely love Stephenie Meyer's books and I can honestly say they've inspired me to write some pretty amazing pieces of music. You'll probably know me from my first project, "Chasing Quaffles", which is a Wizard Rock band. I'm still going strong in that band, but I thought I'd branch out to Twilight fans as well.

The Mitch Hansen Band

The Mitch Hansen Band has been heavily influenced by the Twilight Series of books by Stephenie Meyer.

The fiction runs deep and the emotions along with it.  With our first CD we want to bring you with us to where the story has taken our hearts...

Parker Lukjanovs

Parker is a self-taught musician from Springfield, Ohio. He plays a lot of classical style music with a hint of his own unique twists.

Born in Dayton, Ohio. In his early days he grew up in Miamisburg, OH. Not remembering much of his childhood besides the fact that his parents got divorced shortly after he was born, and that he followed his older brother, Dustin, everywhere. Definitely looking back Parker feels grateful to have been brought up in his shadows. As a youngster he played every sport possible and his mother, Michelle, and father, David, was at every practice and game for every sport. He'll never forget that. Parker moved to McAllen, Texas in 1999, and really didn't like it. He lived there until 2007 then moved up to his home state, Ohio to live with his father. Living there for six months he then decided to move back to McAllen. He only stayed in Texas for four more months then decided to move yet again back to Ohio to focus on his passion-- music!

In the 4 months that he lived back in Texas something changed. Parker learned to appreciate music and life itself more. He now considers himself a fan, and student of music, all kinds of music. From Rock, Instrumental, Techno, Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, but above all and his favorite Classical.

"There is something about classical music that literally gives me goose bumps," Parker says. "Until you can fully appreciate the beauty and true art of it, one will never know how powerful it is."

Parker loves Jesus Christ and his family above all, and hopes to one day have many fans.

The Bella Cullen Project

The Bella Cullen Project

The Bella Cullen Project is a band from Arlington, Texas, inspired by the Twilight book series by Stephenie Meyer. The members of the band - Chandler, Tori, and Ally - were not even freshmen in high school when they came up with the idea to form a Twilight fan-band, and have been playing Twilight-based music ever since. Their first performance opportunity arose with the midnight release party of the third book in the Twilight saga, Eclipse on August 6th, 2007. They performed for an audience at an independent bookstore at a mall in Cleburne, Texas and soon after, they were considered the world’s first Twilight-inspired fan-band. With varying tastes in musical genres and styles, the three have collaborated together to compose over 15 original songs. They are currently working with Freshly Squozen Sounds in the studio to produce their debut, self-titled album, The Bella Cullen Project, set to release in 2008.
